We are once again on the road. Only this journey is not in the motorhome but rather our old trusted 2010 Honda CRV!

She only has 118,000 miles but we are confident she will get us to where we want to go. If not, we have the title in hand and will trade her in!
Additionally, we have a new travel companion, Decker, the Therapy Dog. He is not as keen on traveling as were Sam and Luke but, he’s making the best of it.

The primary reason for this trip is so Jeanne can see a Little League World Series game in Williamsport, PA. We plan to be at the games being played on August 19 and 20.
Our first hotel in Deming was a bit iffy! After we checked into our room I noticed the bed had something very sharp sticking out of it. I took a picture and went down to the desk to ask for a new room.

The new room had an odd smell to it (of course only I could smell it). I decided that I needed to up my hotel game and pay a bit more for the comfort of knowing I was in a clean non-smelly room. So I canceled our Monday night reservation at the “Motel 6” in Odessa TX and booked a room at the Townplace Marriott. Well worth the $😊.
We did have a fairly substantial mishap when we discovered we misplaced our bathroom bag. We are not sure where it ended up and neither hotel has discovered it. Replacing the contents was easy enough however, all of our old lady medications were in it so we have to get that taken care of before we both go bonkers!!!

We did have a great Texas meal at The Barn Door an old train depot in Odessa.
