Well, what can I say…did you ever see the movie “Mosquito Coast” with Harrison Ford? That is where we were. Carol’s brother, Peter, his wife Margaret, daughter Samantha and niece Michelle joined us on this extremely odd trip to the beach. I kept saying to Samantha and Michelle “thank goodness Jeanne did not join us”.
To start with, once we arrived we had about a mile hike through a bug invested jungle. Not sure if the heat or the bug bites would kill us first. The good news is we did make it to the water, only to wade in to the calm ocean with a temperature of approximately 95 degrees! We were lucky enough to have the entire beach to ourselves. Imagine that! This beach is what Carol affectionately referees to as the “Boneyard”!

After the beach swim we did find a nice place to have a drink and snacks that made the trip a total success.
